Students entering Grade 9 English (Levels 1 and 2) are expected to read at least one of the following:

• The Right Stuff, by Tom Wolfe
• Little Women, by Louisa May Alcott
• Endurance: Shackleton’s Incredible Voyage, by Alfred Lansing
• Gone With the Wind, by Margaret Mitchell

Students entering Grade 10 English (Levels 1 and 2) are expected to read at least one of the following:

• The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows
• Mr. Pip, by Lloyd Jones
• Dracula, by Bram Stoker
• Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, by Lewis Carroll
• Wide Sargasso Sea, by Jean Rhys

Students entering Grade 11 English (Levels 1 and 2) are expected to read at least one of the following:

• Into Thin Air, by Jon Krakauer
• Catch 22, by Joseph Heller
• A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, by Betty Smith
• The Devil in the White City, by Erik Larson

Students entering Grade 11 AP English are expected to read all of the following:

Students entering Grade 12 AP English are expected to read all of the following:
